The Zambia Seed company endeavours to breed, develop and multiply seed varieties that will accelerate the success of farmers in Sub-saharan Africa. 

Focused on supplying farmers with drought tolerant, disease resistant and pest repellent varieties in staple grain and legume varieties across the regions.

MAIZE

Zamseed offers a variety of cultivars in the Maize seed category, ultra-early to late varieties both white and yellow grain. 

SORGHUM

Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor) is a staple cereal crop, perfectly suited for Zambia’s diverse climates. Whether you're farming in low or high rainfall regions, Zamseed offers premium sorghum varieties designed to thrive under tough conditions. With its deep root system, wax-coated leaves, and drought-resistant properties, sorghum remains the go-to crop for farmers facing erratic rainfall.

WHEAT

Zamseed is a trusted leader in Winter Wheat seed supply in Zambia, offering six high-yielding, white wheat varieties. Designed for efficiency and productivity, our wheat matures

in 112-130 days, featuring short to medium-height plants with stiff stalks to withstand lodging. Expect impressive yields ranging from 8 to 10 tons per hectare.

SOYBEANS

Soybeans is a powerhouse crop, rich in protein (40%) and oil (20%), making them an essential component of human and animal nutrition. In addition to being a vital food

source, soybeans enhance soil fertility by fixing atmospheric nitrogen, making them a sustainable choice for crop rotation.

SUNFLOWER

Milika sunflower seed is ideally suited for farmers seeking high-quality, high-yield crops. Known for its early maturity and disease resistance, Milika sunflower seeds ensure a robust and successful harvest. The seeds are carefully selected for their excellent oil content, making them a top choice for both small-scale and commercial sunflower farmers.
